Greystar entered the French market in 2018, and will initially focus on Paris, prioritizing the student accommodation sector, targeting both development opportunities and the acquisition of operating assets.

Investment Management Services

Greystar is an active investor in Europe’s rental and student housing sectors, managing investments on behalf of our global capital partners. In the UK, Greystar has built up a property portfolio worth £4.1 billion, representing over 37,000 units comprising both student housing and multifamily rental accommodation. Greystar entered continental Europe in 2015 with the purchase of OurCampus Amsterdam Diemen in the Netherlands. This acquisition has provided a platform for further intensive investment in the rental housing market in Europe. We are constantly looking for new opportunities to expand into attractive European markets, where there is a serious shortage of high quality rental accommodation. Acquiring well-established businesses or portfolios in local markets is core to our European city growth strategy.

Greystar searches for the best opportunities for the development and construction of purpose built rental housing and student accommodation housing in Europe. With over 25 years of development expertise in the asset class, and partnerships with Europe’s best developers and builders Greystar creates premier buildings that redefine the market.

Property Management Services

We manage property on behalf of investors, owners and our partners providing residents with world-class customer service and homes. Our properties are run by local experts, who are fully trained in Greystar processes and procedures taking pride in the performance of their communities.

The recent acquisition of Spanish student accommodation provider Resa consolidates Greystar’s position as one of the largest operators of student accommodation in Europe. We currently manage in the region of 40,000 student units in the UK, the Netherlands and Spain on behalf of our global institutional capital partners.

United States
With an array of property management, investment management, and development and construction service offerings, our vertically integrated business model leverages local expertise and a global platform to deliver results. Greystar has a presence in nearly 193 markets, supported by more than 59 offices and representing more than 536,000 units and student beds under management.
 

Latin America
Through our fully integrated model, Greystar offers clients and capital partners property management, pre-development consulting, and development and investment management services. Our local teams provide the information and flexibility to adapt to each region’s specific needs and requirements, allowing us to deliver world-class service and local market expertise throughout Latin America.
 
Asia Pacific
Greystar expanded into China and Australia in 2016 through the formation of Greystar Asia-Pacific, a joint venture with Macquarie Capital. Greystar Asia-Pacific plans to raise institutional capital to acquire, develop, reposition, and manage rental housing assets across the region, with an initial focus on Shanghai, Beijing, Sydney and Melbourne.
