When you choose to live in a Greystar community, you’re not just renting an apartment; you’re becoming a part of a community that supports your comfort, convenience, and connection. Each property is managed with the resident experience in mind, offering everything from thoughtful amenities to online tools and resources that make daily tasks simpler.

Whether you're new to your building or have been there for a while, there's always more to explore.

Make the most of your amenities

One of the biggest perks of living in a Greystar community is access to high-quality, on-site amenities that extend your living space well beyond the walls of your apartment. (Of course, amenities will vary by community.)

If you haven’t yet explored the amenities in your community, now is the time to start.

If you’re not sure what’s available in your building or if you need to reserve a space, your leasing office or resident portal is a great place to start.

Leverage resources that simplify resident life

Many of our communities offer online resident portals and apps where you can manage rent payments, submit maintenance requests, receive important community updates, and even reserve amenities. Notifications and reminders also keep you in the loop, so you never miss a maintenance window, community event, or important update.

Take advantage of community events and social opportunities

Many properties host regular events for residents —everything from morning yoga sessions and food truck nights to holiday parties, DIY workshops, and trivia competitions. These events are designed to foster connection and community while giving residents an easy way to unwind, meet new people, and enjoy the perks of apartment living together. Check your community's calendar to find the upcoming schedule.

If your schedule has kept you from participating so far, try marking your calendar for the next event.

And if there’s an event you’d love to see happen, your leasing office may be open to ideas.

Create a space that feels like home

While the community offers plenty of shared amenities and experiences, your apartment is still the heart of your daily life.

Try incorporating soft lighting, plants, or art that reflects your personality. Use smart storage solutions (like under-bed bins, vertical shelving, or multi-functional furniture) to keep your home feeling open and organized. Some communities allow approved enhancements like removable wallpaper, smart thermostats, and upgraded light fixtures.

Small changes like these can make a big difference, especially if you work from home or spend a lot of time indoors. If you're unsure what’s allowed, check with your leasing office. They can walk you through your options so you can feel confident customizing your space.

Reach out and stay connected

Last but not least, don’t forget that your community and maintenance teams are here to support you. Whether you have questions, need help using an amenity, or want recommendations for local dining and pet care, your community team can be a valuable resource. They can also help you explore renewal options or even transfer to another Greystar property if your needs change.

Working with your community teams helps your experience remain smooth and helps ensure that you're getting the most from your living experience.
