Public transportation
SouthPark residents have access to Charlotte's bus system through the SouthPark Community Transit Center, located within SouthPark Mall. Four CATS bus routes serve the neighborhood: Route 19 along Park Road, Route 28 connecting to Eastland Transit Center via Fairview Road, Route 30 traveling through Woodlawn and Scaleybark neighborhoods, and Route 57 linking to South Boulevard via Archdale Drive. Additionally, the free SouthPark Skipper provides on-demand rides within the district daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Airports
Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) is about a 20-minute drive away under normal traffic conditions. As a major American Airlines hub, CLT provides extensive domestic and international flight options.
Cars and driving
Interstate 77 runs north-south, providing direct access to downtown Charlotte in approximately 15 minutes during off-peak hours. Interstate 485 encircles the city and connects SouthPark to suburban areas and neighboring counties. These highways provide access to employment centers, entertainment districts, and surrounding communities.
Pedestrians and bicycles
SouthPark offers growing opportunities for pedestrians and cyclists through dedicated infrastructure and recreational trails. The Little Sugar Creek Greenway provides a scenic 1.54-mile segment from Brandywine to Tyvola roads, featuring bridges and creekside views. This greenway connects to the larger Cross Charlotte Trail system.
