Melody Mijnen is a Managing Director of Marketing and leads the company’s Brand, Design, Digital, Customer Marketing & Insights initiatives for our European markets, as well as Greystar’s European resident-centric marketing strategy. This includes brand development and management, leveraging insights for a thorough understanding of customer audiences to drive targeted campaigns, events, and experiences throughout the customer journey.
Melody started her career in 2002 as a European buyer for a global sports brand in the retail industry working closely with the store operations and marketing teams to drive sales. She expanded her international marketing skills within the automotive and payments industry, working with premium brands such as Audi, Volkswagen and respectively American Express and MasterCard in the Netherlands. Before joining Greystar in 2020, Melody led the Marketing & CRM strategy for Selfridges, a premium department store in the UK. She is a frequent speaker at industry events, a strong advocate of customer-centricity, and is actively involved in charity organizations focused on children’s rights and equality for girls. 
Melody has a Master’s of Business Administration degree in Customer Life Cycle Management from Nyenrode University in the Netherlands, with modules both at Kellogg School of Management in Chicago and Stellenbosch University in South Africa.
