James Ford is a Managing Director of Construction for Greystar Development and Construction Services, where he oversees Greystar sponsored and third-party construction projects in the company’s Southeast region. His role includes monitoring and directing all construction activities, as well as ensuring compliance with corporate, government, and industry policies and procedures.Prior to joining Greystar in 2005, James served as Vice President of Construction for Houston-based companies that include Tribble & Stephens and G.T. Leach. James has worked in all phases of construction, from various trades to management roles, and has expertise in multiple construction types, including multifamily, educational facilities, entertainment venues, movie theaters, and hotels. James began his construction career in 1980 at SpawGlass Contractors, where he worked on high-profile projects such as the Austin Convention Center and renovations to the Houston Astrodome.
