BIOGRAPHY

Chase Leist is Senior Managing Director of Insurance and Risk Management for Greystar. She leads the global insurance and risk management team supporting all of Greystar’s business lines.

With more than 20 years of experience at the intersection of commercial real estate and insurance, Chase joined Greystar in 2026. Prior to joining Greystar, she served as Vice President, Insurance & Risk Management for HITT Contracting, a top-ranked commercial general contractor, where she led risk strategy across claims, placement, captive, surety, and risk compliance. Previously, she was a Risk Manager at AvalonBay Communities, where she held responsibilities across policy placement, claims, financial risk modeling and forecasting, crisis response, and portfolio transactions.

Chase holds a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Towson University, a master’s degree in public health from George Washington University, and is a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU).
