BIOGRAPHY

Tonya Decker is a Managing Director of Real Estate for Greystar’s Property Management Services and oversees the Southern California region. Tonya has more than 28 years of operation and asset management experience in the multifamily industry with a comprehensive background in the state of California. She is responsible for the operational oversight of third-party assets, including over 41,000 units of multifamily and 600,000 square feet of retail. Her extensive experience encompasses lease-up development, acquisitions and dispositions, renovation repositioning, marketing campaigns, absorption analysis, stabilization approach, rebranding, and financial reporting and analysis.

Prior to joining Greystar, Tonya was Senior Vice President of Southern California with Alliance Residential. During her tenure with Alliance, she successfully led many innovative and high-profile developments, played a vital role in the acquisition of new business, and was a vocal leader in the development and growth of company initiatives and policies. Tonya is a current committee member of the California Apartment Association of Los Angeles and holds the Certified Property Manager designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management.

Tonya studied abroad at Oxford University and Heidelberg University.
