BIOGRAPHY
Tony Dona is a Senior Advisor for Greystar and the Greystar-Thackeray fund business and serves on the Greystar Real Estate Partners Board of Directors.
Prior to joining Greystar in 2021, Tony was co-CEO and co-founder of Thackeray Partners, a diversified private real estate company based in Dallas. Since its inception in 2005, Thackeray sponsored five private equity funds where Tony was responsible for overall strategy, partner communications, deal sourcing, asset management, and fund administration. Prior to founding Thackeray Partners in 2005, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Crow Holdings, which included oversight of both Crow’s real estate business and its diversified investments. Tony was with Trammell Crow Company, Crow Holdings, and other Crow-affiliated entities for almost twenty years.
Tony is on the Board of the Real Estate Center at Southern Methodist University and a research sponsor for the Zell Lurie Center at Wharton where he guest teaches each year. He is also on the Advisory Board of the Dallas Real Estate Council, and a member of The Salesmanship Club of Dallas and the past Chairman of its charity, the Momentous Institute.
A graduate of Southern Methodist University, Tony also received a Master’s in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
