BIOGRAPHY
Tom Murphy is an Executive Director and provides oversight and support to all Greystar’s Construction projects in the United States and globally. In the US, Tom is responsible for leading Greystar’s in house general contracting arm that has been responsible for successfully completing more than 135 new construction projects, representing more than 40,000 units with construction revenues in excess $5 billion. Tom also provides construction management oversight of Greystar projects that are being constructed by outside general contracting firms.
Prior to joining Greystar in 1998, Tom was a Principal of the construction group for JPI Multifamily Construction, Inc., where he was directly responsible for all general construction duties for 18 multifamily projects. Before going to work for JPI, Tom spent eight years as a project manager for Austin Commercial, Inc., where he was project manager on several large commercial projects, including the $200 million EDS World Headquarters.
Tom holds a bachelor of science degree in Building Construction from Northeast Louisiana University.
