BIOGRAPHY

Susan Newman is a Managing Director of Real Estate and leads Greystar's Property Management operations in North Carolina. Susan oversees a team of real estate professionals based in Raleigh, Charlotte, and Wilmington. Her portfolio covers North Carolina and consists of over 110 communities and 29,000+ units.

Before joining Greystar during the 2014 acquisition, Susan served for eight years as the Senior Vice President of the Southeast Division for Riverstone Residential Group. Prior to her tenure at Riverstone, Susan worked for Trammell Crow Residential Services as a Regional Property Manager. Active in the multifamily industry since 1981, Susan has been involved with the management of lease-up and stabilized assets. She has extensive expertise in management of conventional, high-rise, mid-rise, garden-style, and build-to-rent communities. Susan has been involved in asset repositioning, distressed property management, and property acquisitions and dispositions. Susan holds Real Estate Broker in Charge designations in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. She is an active member of the Triangle Apartment Association and has served on various multifamily committees.

Susan earned a bachelor's degree in Business Management from Gardner-Webb University.
