BIOGRAPHY

Stan Chan is a Managing Director of Greystar Construction Services for the Western region of the United States, where he provides leadership for construction operations in Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Arizona, and Hawaii. Under Stan’s leadership, the Western region constructs student housing, conventional apartments, active adult apartments, assisted care living, office, and light industrial buildings.

Before joining Greystar in 2016, Stan was a Senior Director of Construction for AvalonBay Communities, Inc., a publicly traded REIT located in San Francisco, California. During his eleven-year tenure, Stan was involved with new construction and rehab construction, completing a total construction value of $900 million. Stan is actively involved with the Associated General Contractors of America, Associated Builders & Contractors, and the Design Build Institute of America, and he is a frequent speaker at industry events.

Stan received a bachelor’s of science degree in Construction Management from California State University, Chico.
