BIOGRAPHY

Rafael Fernandez-Villaverde is a Managing Director of Investment Management and leads the company’s investment efforts in Southern Europe. Rafael maintains management oversight of the different investment strategies and assets classes and has led the execution and deployment of c.€2.3B gross asset value since he joined Greystar.

Before joining Greystar in 2018, Rafael was responsible for leading the investment team at Alantra’s Real Estate Private Equity Fund, with a focus on retail, residential and hospitality assets. Rafael began his career as an investment banking Analyst and Associate at Alantra, assisting institutional investors in M&A and structured finance transactions and based both in Madrid and London.

Rafael graduated first honors in business administration and finance from ICADE University and studied abroad at the University of San Diego and London School of Economics.
