BIOGRAPHY

Michael Erickson is a Managing Director of Portfolio Management at Greystar, where he leads the US student housing platform within the Americas Principal Business. In his role, Michael leads a team responsible for acquisitions, asset management, and dispositions across the student housing portfolio and collaborates with regional development teams to source and execute student housing developments.

Previously, Michael served as the portfolio manager for Greystar’s core-plus investment vehicle targeting student housing acquisitions and developments at US universities. Prior to joining Greystar in 2014, he was a Senior Associate at Ernst & Young, where he was a member of the financial assurance services group serving public and private clients in the software, financial services, and real estate industries. Michael is a member of the Urban Land Institute's Student Housing Product Council. 

Michael holds a bachelor's degree and master's in professional accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and is an inactive Certified Public Accountant in Texas.
