BIOGRAPHY

Lee Schafer is a Managing Director of Real Estate Operations, where she oversees third party property management across South Carolina, Coastal Georgia, and the mountains of North Carolina within Greystar's Management Services business. In her role, Lee is responsible for leading day to day operations and strategic oversight of a 23,000 unit multifamily portfolio that includes mid rise, garden style, and build for rent communities. She partners closely with onsite and regional teams to drive leasing performance, operational consistency, and financial results while supporting lease ups, renovations, and stabilized assets. Lee focuses on identifying opportunities for improved performance, strengthening teams, and ensuring high standards of service for both residents and property owners across a diverse geographic footprint.

Lee has been active in the multifamily industry for more than 27 years. She began her career with Johnson Development Associates, where she progressed from Leasing Consultant to Property Manager and later served as Director of Marketing and Training. She subsequently held leadership roles with RADCO Residential, before joining Greystar. Lee holds professional designations from both the National Apartment Association and the Institute of Real Estate Management, including Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor and Certified Property Manager. She is a graduate of the Leadership Spartanburg Program and remains actively engaged in industry and community involvement.

Lee earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina. She maintains a South Carolina Property Manager License.
