BIOGRAPHY

Larry Kallestad is a Managing Director and leads a third-party division in the Southern California region. Larry provides direct operational oversight of a portfolio of over 180 communities and over 50,000 apartment homes for his clients. He and his team are responsible for increasing their client's revenue and net operating income through a strategic approach of positioning their assets well within the respective markets. Working alongside his capital projects team, his goal is to maximize property value for all of his third-party clients. Larry has experience in the lease-up space, property repositioning, along with the affordable/workforce housing business.

Before joining Greystar in 2010, Larry held the position of Senior Regional Manager at Equity Residential, a well-established real estate investment trust. He also held the position of Property Manager and Regional Manager for 14 years at The Irvine Company, where he specialized in operating student properties, stabilized assets, and lease-ups. Larry is actively involved in legislative business with the California Apartment Association and serves as Treasurer for the Board of Directors of a homeowners association. He holds a salesperson license with the California Department of Real Estate.

Larry earned his bachelor’s degree in Geography and Business Administration from California State University, Long Beach.
