John Chertok is a Managing Director for Digital Technologies and leads innovation technology and software engineering across the company’s core digital platforms and data ecosystems. He oversees engineering strategy and execution for Greystar’s digital products, ensuring platforms are reliable, scalable, and continuously evolving to meet the needs of residents, prospects, and internal teams. John leads multiple engineering teams responsible for web, mobile, and data platforms and plays a key role in advancing AI modernization, platform transformation, and data driven decision making. He also serves as a strategic advisor across Greystar, collaborating with business leaders, vendors, and technology partners to deliver high impact digital experiences.

Prior to joining Greystar, John spent the majority of his career in the commercial real estate industry, holding senior technology and engineering leadership roles at global firms including Savills and CBRE. Throughout his career, he has led large scale digital transformations, built high performing engineering organizations, and delivered web, mobile, and data platforms that support business growth, operational excellence, and strong client experiences.

John holds a master’s degree in computer science from Kiev State University in Ukraine.
