BIOGRAPHY

John Beinert is a Managing Director of Development focused on the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia regions. In this role, John is responsible for development projects in various stages of design, entitlement, construction, and lease up totaling roughly $2B in total capitalization and 4,500 units.

Prior to joining Greystar in 2017, John was an active-duty submarine officer, having served tours on board the USS Maryland and teaching at the Naval Nuclear Power School. John is a member of the National Multifamily Housing Council and on the board of the Capital Riverfront Business Improvement District.

John earned his Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in ocean engineering from the United States Naval Academy.
