BIOGRAPHY
Gary Kerr is a Senior Managing Director at Greystar and a member of the company's Executive Committee, overseeing Greystar's Northeast region, which spans the Northeast US and Eastern Canada. In his role, he leads Greystar's development platform across major markets, including New York, Northern New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Toronto, and manages Greystar's Boston based life sciences investment platform.
Gary brings over 20 years of real estate development experience across multifamily, student housing, life science, office, and industrial assets, and has capitalized nearly $5B of large-scale vertical development at Greystar. He previously held senior leadership roles at Cronin Development, Tishman Speyer, and MIT Investment Management Company, structuring and raising institutional capital across multiple asset classes. Gary is active in industry leadership through CREDA and the Urban Land Institute and is a frequent speaker at real estate and development forums.
Gary holds a Bachelor of Arts in business from Saint Anselm College and a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from Queen's University, Belfast. He also earned a Master of Science in construction and real estate from the University of Reading and a Master of Business Administration from Boston College.
