BIOGRAPHY
Gary Kerr is a Senior Managing Director of Development. He is responsible for managing new development projects and expanding the development pipeline for Greystar in the Northeast region, as well as leading the new life sciences investment platform. While at Greystar, he has capitalized over $3B of vertical development, has led the development of over 3,500 units of multifamily and over 2,000 beds of student housing in the Boston and New York markets, as well as two million square feet of speculative life science and 400,000 square feet of speculative industrial opportunities in Boston.
Previously, he served as a Managing Director of the Boston-based Cronin Development, Senior Director at New York-based Tishman Speyer, and held senior roles at MIT Investment Management Company.
Gary is active in leadership roles with NAIOP and the Urban Land Institute, is a frequent speaker at industry events, and is regularly quoted in the media.
Gary received a Bachelor of Arts in business from Saint Anselm College and a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from Queens University. He also earned a Master of Science in construction and real estate from the University of Reading and a Master of Business Administration from Boston College.
