BIOGRAPHY
Doug Zylstra is a Managing Director and leads the company's Construction Services and Maintenance group for Greystar’s Property Management business. The Construction Services group executes the capital projects for all third-party managed assets, while the Maintenance team is responsible for all maintenance operations of the residential portfolio. Doug also oversees the company's emergency response program, beginning with disaster mitigation through the property restoration process.
Before joining Greystar in 2014, Doug worked as a General Contractor for twenty-five years, specializing in projects ranging from department of transportation bridge construction to multifamily projects for various public housing agencies. Doug is actively involved with local National Apartment Association affiliates and is a frequent speaker and panelist at industry events. He was Past President of Northwestern’s National Alumni Board and member of the Northwestern Board of Trustees.
Doug received his bachelor's degree in Business and Economics from Northwestern College – Iowa.
