BIOGRAPHY

David Elizandro is a Managing Director of External Reporting and Technical Accounting for Greystar Enterprise Services. He is responsible for overseeing the global consolidated financial reporting and accounting policy for Greystar. His team is also responsible for providing support to the businesses and corporate accounting team on complex accounting issues related to new business initiatives, new transaction structures and new financing opportunities, among other issues, as they arise.

David has over 20 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting policy, and public accounting. Prior to joining Greystar, David served as Head of the Technical Accounting Group at Realty Income. David also previously served as the Head of Technical Accounting at Barclays and Managing Director of Technical Accounting at Bank of New York Mellon after beginning his career at Deloitte. David has been a member of the AICPA Securities Broker-Dealer Industry Accounting Expert Panel, AICPA Depository and Lending Institution Revenue Recognition Task Force, AICPA Investment Company Revenue Recognition Task Force, and a monthly contributing author for the Financial Instruments Tax and Accounting Review trade journal. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Texas and is a speaker at various industry conferences and roundtable events.

David received his bachelor’s degree from Tennessee Technological University, and Master of Accountancy from the University of Arkansas.
