BIOGRAPHY

Claire Solon is a Managing Director and leads the investment, development, and operational business in Ireland. Claire is responsible for growing Greystar’s presence in the Irish market by identifying acquisition and development opportunities for both multifamily and student assets. She works with her team on capital relations right through to the delivery and operation of the finished product.

Prior to joining Greystar in 2019, Claire was Head of Property at Aviva Ireland where she managed property funds of over €600m in Ireland and the UK. She was responsible for strategy formulation and acquisitions, disposals, and developments within its extensive property portfolio. Claire was previously Head of Estates Management at ESB Ireland, which is the largest landowner in the country.

Claire is an active Fellow of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland, which represents over 6,000 members, and was the youngest person to be elected to the role of President in 2016. She is also a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors where she is a member of the Practice and Policy Committee. She is currently a non-executive board member of state-owned Home Building Finance Ireland and Cluid, a voluntary housing association.

Claire has a first-class honors degree in Property Economics from Technological University Dublin and a bachelor’s of science from Trinity College Dublin. She also holds certificates in Stock Market Trading and Project Management. She is dual qualified as a chartered planning and development, and a project management surveyor.
