BIOGRAPHY

Andy Mest is a Managing Director of Greystar’s Development, Construction, and Modular Manufacturing businesses. His leadership comes with over 20 years of experience in the multifamily industry. While at Greystar, Andy has successfully delivered over 5,000 units in Europe and the United States, utilizing various forms of offsite construction including DfMA, prefabricated façade systems, bathroom pods, and 3D volumetrics. He has been a major contributor to projects in the US, Europe, China, and Australia, with over 70,000 apartments delivered throughout his career at Greystar.

Prior to joining Greystar in 2014, Andy served as the Chief Estimator and Senior Director of Procurement for AvalonBay Communities, a publicly traded REIT in Arlington, VA. Before AvalonBay, he was the Preconstruction Executive for Clark Building Group, where he led business development and preconstruction efforts with their third-party clients and in-house development group. Andy is a frequent speaker at conferences around the world, focused on off-site construction, modular construction, and prefabrication. He is also a guest lecturer at Virginia Tech University and Clemson University.

Andy received his BSBA in Finance and Economics from the John L. Grove School of Business at Shippensburg University.
