Nashville: Home of music, mason jars and mindin’ your manners. Whether new in town or a long-time local, this star-filled city brings a hip style to Southern hospitality while spurring excitement for all ages and interests. Step into a new song and dance as you soak up country music scenes, swanky shopping and spirited eateries when taking up residence in a Greystar community.

It’s not uncommon to see celebrities out and about on any day of the week. But unlike other cities, Nashville has an unwritten rule: Show some respect and leave the stars alone. So put away your cameras and speeches on how you’re their biggest fan. When you’re living here in the South, a simple smile and head nod will do just fine.

Something to sing about.

You haven’t lived in Music City until you’ve experienced all of its sweet-sounding attractions. See a show and take a tour of Grand Ole Opry, known as the “home of American music” and “country’s most famous stage.” Speaking of country, saddle up for a one-of-a-kind experience at the Country Music Hall of Fame. Featuring ever-changing exhibits of chart-topping stars from today and yesterday all season long, this is an attraction you won’t just visit once.

For a different style of music scene, get dressed up for a breathtaking performance at Schermerhorn Symphony Center. With an 83-member orchestra, Schermerhorn is the largest performing arts nonprofit in Tennessee.

When the sun goes down, head to The Bluebird Café, the world-renowned performance space for the songwriters behind all of those radio hits. In addition to up-and-coming country songwriters, you can take in the sweet sounds of pop, rock and contemporary Christian hits in an intimate venue that embodies the spirit of the city. You might even catch a taping of ABC’s hit show “Nashville” when patronizing the popular pub.

Let the games begin!

Music isn’t the only thing that has Nashville residents cheering. Kick off fall by heading to Nissan Stadium to watch the NFL’s Tennessee Titans take the field. Ice hockey fans can be a part of all of the action as they root for the NHL’s Nashville Predators at Bridgestone Arena, while baseball lovers catch plenty of home runs at First Tennessee Park, home of the Minor League Baseball Nashville Sounds.

What’s cooking?

Treat your taste buds to an eclectic array of modern meals at Rolf and Daughters, complete with mouthwatering cocktails and to-die-for desserts. For supper with a skyline view, foodies can satisfy their cravings at Kanye Prime and indulge in a creative culinary experience with house specialties including the cream corn brulee, macaroni gratinee and Wagyu tartare. Seeking something new? Etch offers diners an ever-changing entrée menu that embraces vegetarians and meat lovers alike.

In the morning, start your day off at The Pancake Pantry. Featuring every flapjack flavor from Georgia peach and banana bread to sweet potato and Santa Fe cornmeal, it’s a Nashville tradition that’s worth waiting in the line around the building.

Shop ‘til you drop, y’all!

With five department stores and over 165 specialty shops, CoolSprings Galleria is the spot to search for all styles. For finer lifestyle retailers like Tiffany & Co., Louis Vuitton, Burberry and Tory Burch, head to The Mall at Green Hills. Looking for designers on a discount? The Opry Mills Outlet is the largest outlet mall in the state, enticing fashionistas with over 200 stores.

Spur a more unique shopping excursion at some of Nashville’s favorite boutiques including Muse, Blush Boutique and Fab’rik, known for trendy items, inspiring fashions and one-of-a-kind pieces.
