"Our company-wide DEI effort is guided by our team members. For Greystar, DEI isn’t something that’s led by a person or division – it is an effort that is driven by the entire business."
—Bob Faith, - Greystar Founder, Chairman, and CEO
Our DEI Framework
A framework to ensure our goals and actions are focused in the right areas based on foundations set by our Core Values
Creating opportunities for team members to grow by leading and contributing to DEI efforts at Greystar
Enabling our team members to be great allies through awareness and education
Engaging our team members to advance inclusive causes on behalf of Greystar
Taking visible action in our industry, with our residents, suppliers, contractors, and clients
Ensuring our people practices enable our goals; delivering inclusive employee experiences for team members; and holding ourselves accountable so we can achieve long-term DEI goals
Diversity, Equality & Inclusion Priorities
Bring DEI to life at all levels of the organization throughout Greystar, through regional and functional resource groups
Empower leaders to set meaningful DEI goals and measure progress through clear metrics
Dedicate areas of internal communications to celebrate and share successes across regions and businesses
Regional DEI Resource Groups
Regional groups are being formed at a local level and open to all team members. Working with regional leaders, regional teams will assess interests, identify volunteers, and develop a local action plan that helps all team members feel included and involved in furthering our DEI efforts.
For example: participate in a city’s local Pride Parade
Business/Functional DEI Leadership Groups
Working with business and functional leaders to develop strategic business and enterprise level goals that will create meaningful advances in diversity, equality, and inclusion within Greystar and in the industries in which we operate/play.
For example: increase the number of women and minority owned contractors we engage
In October 2020, Bob signed the CEO in Action pledge, joining a coalition of CEOs advancing DEI in the workplace.
