BIOGRAPHY

Akira Kosugi is a Senior Managing Director for Greystar Asia Pacific, leading the establishment and growth of the company’s rental housing platform in Japan. His key responsibilities include implementing and advancing the company’s investment objectives in the region. Since he joined Greystar in 2019, Greystar has invested over 5,200 units across major cities in Japan. Akira is also a member of the Business Line Investment Committee for the Asia Pacific region and is a member of Greystar’s Executive Committee.

Akira has been active in the real estate investment industry for more than 20 years, with experience across multiple asset classes globally. Prior to joining Greystar, Akira served as Managing Principal of Westbrook Japan in Tokyo. Previously, he held senior leadership roles at Blackstone, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and Grove International Partners.

Akira holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Fordham University.
