Greystar Unveils Canvas Arthur House in Wembley
London, 2 September 2025 – Greystar, a global leader in the investment, development, and management of rental housing, has unveiled Canvas Arthur House in Wembley as it prepares to welcome residents for the 2025/26 academic year. The 770-bed purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) asset is the latest addition to the company’s pan-European brand, Canvas Student, which now encompasses 18 communities in 13 cities across 5 countries.
At Arthur House, students will find fully furnished studio rooms with inclusive rents and high-speed Wi-Fi, alongside a wide range of shared spaces. These include lounges, study zones, landscaped gardens, podium terraces, a gym, yoga studio and 24/7 onsite wellbeing services. A full events calendar adds another layer of value, creating opportunities to connect through cultural celebrations, creative workshops and employability-focused sessions.
The interiors at Arthur House, designed by TiggColl, reflect the brand’s focus on wellbeing. Spaces are shaped around six principles – connection to nature, social connectedness, physical activity, mindfulness, nutrition and sleep – ensuring that the environment supports both academic performance and personal growth. Lounges and social areas are warm and inviting, while study spaces are designed to encourage focus and productivity.
Tom Starling, Senior Director – UK Student Operations at Greystar, said: “Arthur House showcases what Greystar does best: designing spaces around student wellbeing, delivering high-quality developments, and operating them with the service and support students need. With this second building in Wembley, we’re strengthening our local presence while continuing to grow Canvas Student as a trusted brand across Europe.”
David Tigg, founding director, TiggColl said: “It has been an enormous pleasure to work with Greystar on the interiors for Canvas Arthur House. Our design for this next generation student accommodation aimed to create a home from home that is welcoming, fun and sophisticated, supporting residents to study, socialise, rest and play. We’re delighted with the results.”
Delivered in partnership with McAleer & Rushe, Arthur House is on track to achieve BREEAM Excellent. The building will operate fully electric and is connected to the Wembley Park District Heat Network for efficient heating. Roof-mounted solar PV panels add a renewable energy source, reinforcing Greystar’s commitment to resilient and sustainable student accommodation.
As Greystar’s second Canvas Student community in Wembley, Arthur House expands the local offer to more than 1,000 student beds. Its location, just a four-minute walk from Wembley Park station, provides excellent transport connections to central London while giving residents immediate access to Wembley Stadium, BOXPARK and the London Designer Outlet.
Daniel Thompson, Managing Director – UK Development. Greystar, said: “Arthur House is the first Canvas Student community in the UK to be delivered by Greystar from the ground up. By combining high-quality design, extensive shared amenities and a clear focus on sustainability, the project underscores Greystar’s ability to deliver resilient, future-ready student communities. It reflects an approach that will maintain the asset’s value for many years to come and one that we will continue to apply as a leading investor, developer and operator.”
Since its launch in 2021, Canvas Student has grown rapidly and now spans nearly 10,000 beds across the UK, Ireland, France, Spain and the Netherlands. Each opening reinforces Canvas Student’s reputation as a trusted name in student accommodation, combining Greystar’s development capability with its proven operational expertise to deliver a consistent experience across multiple markets.
