Greystar Closes and Breaks Ground on Plunketts Crossing

Atlanta, GA – October 5, 2026 – Greystar, a global leader in rental housing, investment management, development, and property management, today announced a successful land closing and groundbreaking of Plunketts Crossing, a Class A logistics facility in Buford, Georgia.

Located at 1781 Plunketts Road in Buford, Georgia, the 11.11-acre development site sits at the convergence of Northeast Atlanta's most critical transportation arteries, with direct access to GA-20, I-985, and I-85. This connectivity provides immediate reach to the Atlanta MSA's most significant population and labor nodes, supporting a broad and diverse demand spectrum. The site's central positioning within this corridor allows for diverse tenants and maintains access to a deep and skilled labor pool. The site is also within 50 miles of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

“Plunketts Crossing represents an exciting opportunity to expand Greystar’s logistics presence in the Atlanta market,” said Katherine Mosley, Managing Director for Development at Greystar. “The site’s infill location, strong connectivity, and flexible design position the development to receive strong demand in what continues to be the most sought-after corridor in the Atlanta MSA from both users and capital markets.”

Plunketts Crossing will comprise of 133,240 square feet of shallow-bay, rear loading logistics space with a 260-foot depth and a 32-foot clear height. The facility will feature 19 dock doors, two drive-in doors all supported by an ESFR sprinkler system and overhead LED lighting. There will also be roughly 2,300 square feet of office space and 94 car parking spaces.

“Greystar is excited to break ground on Plunketts Crossing, marking our 3rd logistics facility in Georgia," said Ed Wall, Director for Development at Greystar. “By combining the scale and capabilities of Greystar’s global platform with the market knowledge of our local teams, we’re focused on delivering high-quality, well-located logistics facilities that respond to the needs of today’s tenants.”

Vaib Vijayakumar, Partner at Whitman Peterson, said the firm is "excited to deepen our shallow-bay footprint in Atlanta alongside one of our most trusted partners, Greystar." He added: "This site checks every box we look for in infill industrial — direct access to Atlanta's fastest-growing rooftops, and best-in-class connectivity via I-85 for last-mile distribution. We expect strong demand from a diverse mix of tenants."

Construction will begin in October and is projected to be completed in October 2027.
