December 17, 2025
London, 17 December 2025 – Greystar, a global leader in the investment, development, and management of high-quality rental housing, has appointed Thomasin Renshaw as Managing Director – UK Development. She will be responsible for leading Greystar’s UK development strategy across build to rent (BTR) and purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA), reporting to Daniel Breeden, Senior Managing Director – UK.
Thomasin joins from Pocket Living, where she served as Chief Development Officer overseeing its entire pipeline of major London schemes including the award-winning Sheepcote Road in Harrow and Atlas Wharf in Old Oak. Her earlier roles at Grosvenor and Muse Developments established a strong track record in regeneration and public–private partnership, working with local authorities and institutional stakeholders to unlock major development opportunities, including the two-acre South Molton Triangle in Mayfair.
Greystar’s 16-person UK Development team is currently delivering significant rental housing schemes, including the first homes at the 1,600-home Pearl Yard in Bermondsey, as well as Greenford Quay, Momento Hayes and Canvas Wembley, which are now fully operational.
Daniel Breeden, Senior Managing Director – UK, said: “The UK cannot address its housing shortage without partners who can deliver at scale and with certainty. Strengthening our development leadership ensures Greystar is ready to move quickly on land opportunities and work with public and private landowners to unlock new housing. Thomasin’s experience in regeneration and partnership delivery will support our aim to bring more professionally managed rental homes to market and contribute meaningfully to the national effort to increase supply.”
Thomasin Renshaw, Managing Director – UK Development, said: “There is a clear national need for more rental homes, and institutional developers have a vital role in delivering them. Greystar has the platform, capital and operational expertise to bring forward new housing at pace. My focus is on strengthening our pipeline and working with landowners, local authorities and communities to deliver well-designed homes in places where demand is greatest.”
Greystar’s UK business is one of the country’s largest rental housing platforms, with more than 130 assets comprising over 51,000 build to rent apartments and purpose-built student accommodation beds, supported by 732 employees nationwide. This platform provides the delivery capacity, financial resilience and specialist expertise required to progress complex development opportunities across the country.
Greystar’s UK development programme forms a key pillar of its broader European growth strategy, which focuses on delivering high-quality rental housing, student accommodation and innovative living solutions in markets with strong demographic and economic fundamentals. Greystar entered Europe in 2013 and now operates in eight countries, with around £16.5 billion ($22 billion) in assets under management in the region.
