The regular light bulbs you get at the drugstore use more energy and only last about one-tenth the amount of time as compact fluorescent bulbs. When your light bulbs burn out, replace them with new compact fluorescents. The environment and your reduced energy bill will thank you… and you will, too, when you don’t have to change them as often.

Water Saving Fixtures

Toilet running?  Call your maintenance team; they’ll be able to take care of it in no time!   More water flows out of apartment homes through toilet leaks than anywhere else.  Get it fixed quickly and save money while saving the planet.

Use Water Saving Fixtures

Low-flow fixtures in every room in your home can save a considerable amount of water, especially in an apartment occupied by two or more people. However, many apartment dwellers don’t worry about water because they often don’t pay for it directly. Ask your leasing office if they can install low-flow fixtures in your bathroom and kitchen. Low-flow shower-heads can be easily added to your shower. Chances are you won’t notice any difference in water pressure.
