Residents of Houston, TX, could be about to see some big green changes if the new recycling program One Bin for All is implemented. As the name suggests, One Bin for All involves disposing of all garbage in the same place in order to make it easier for residents to recycle.
Even those who are passionate about recycling sometimes slip-up and find it difficult to know what can and cannot be recycled or simply make mistakes. As a result, only 30 percent of trash is effectively recycled; however, this new idea is about to change everything. One Bin for All enables garbage to be sorted by sensors, density separators and optical scanners to increase the amount of waste that is recycled while saving money, improving air quality and increasing revenues.
At Greystar, we are always looking for ways to become greener. By making the small effort of asking all your residents to participate in the recycling program, together we can make a big impact to the environment.
